본『에너지 절감을 위한 선박추진 성능 향상 기술 개발』은 선박의 추진 에너지 절감을 타겟으로 하는 조선산업의 경향과 우리나라 기술수준에 대한 국내외 특허 분석을 통하여 2010년도 산업원천기술개발사업의 투자 방향을 점검하고 동시에 전략적이고 내실있는 연구기획이 가능하도록 지식경제부의 요청에 의해 특허청이 발주하고 한국특허정보원이 주관하는 사업임
분석 목적
에너지 절감을 위한 선박 추진성능 향상 기술은 그 분야가 다양하여 기술 개발이 다양하게 진행하여 왔고, 따라서 특허 출원이매우 활발한 분야이나 이러한 출원의 대부분은 일본이나 미국 등 선진국에 집중되어 있고, 상대적으로 한국에서의 기술개발 및 출원이 적은 편임 최근 한국 조선 공업의 비약적인 발전으로 세계 1위의 수주량과 생산량을 기록함에 따라 일본을 제치고 이제 한국 조선산업이 세계를 주도하는 시대에 접어들었음
그러나 기술적인 측면에서는 명실상부한 1위라 말할 수 있는 단계에 있다고 말하기 어렵고, 특히 선박추진 분야에 있어서는 일반 프로펠러에 대한 설계 및 제작은 발전되어 왔으나 추진 에너지의 절감 분야에서는 개발에 대해서는 미미한 실정임
앞으로 더욱 고성능화 된 새로운 형태의 에너지 절감형 추진방식들이 많이 나올 것이 쉽게 예상되는 상황에서 이러한 문제는 더욱 심화될 수 있으리라 생각됨
본 보고서는 국가연구개발 기획단계에서 특허정보를 분석하여 우리나라 에너지 절감을 위한 선박추진 성능 향상 기술의 개발 추이 및 수준을 객관적으로 파악하고 효율적인 국가연구개발 정책수립을 위한 기초자 료를 제공하고자, 특허청의 용역사업으로 수행하여 발간한 특허동향조사?분석 결과입니다.
